The final Waypoint for 2018 – does this mean we have reached our destination?
The CBE, Certificate in Domestic Maritime Operations (CIDMO) has continued to go from strength to strength in 2018. We have now registered approximately 45 successful programme completions, all candidates having gone on to pass their final MNZ Skipper Restricted Limits exam with a range of independent examiners around New Zealand.
The quality of CBE’s delivery of the CIDMO qualification was also tested via an NZQA consistency review conducted earlier this year. This process ensured that issuers of the qualification are delivering student outcomes that are at the correct level and standard when compared to their peers, proudly, we were found to be meeting the requirements across all aspects of the review.
As this final Waypoint goes to print we are also very proud to announce that the CBE CIDMO programme has also been approved for funding by the Tertiary Education Commission. We are hoping this will allow us to make improvements to the programme with a key benefit being lower enrolment fees for the candidate - watch this space in 2019.
All the best to you and your families for a fantastic break over Christmas, see you next year.
