Day Skipper Online wins Silver at the LearnX Impact Awards 2015
Coastguard Boating Educations most popular introductory course that focuses on essential boating safety knowledge relevant to all boaties was developed into an online version and launched in March of this year.
Only one month later CBE are delighted to announce that the Day Skipper Online course has won the Silver Award at the LearnX Impact Awards 2015.
With over two hundred entries of an exceptionally high standard, the Day Skipper Online course received the Silver Award in the Best Learning Services category in collaboration with Optimism who were the creative content developers. The awards recognize and promote the finest talent and most excellent work connected to the best projects across the world of learning throughout the Asia Pacific region.
General Manager Neil Murray says that “winning a LearnX Impact Award is a recognition of the talent of all those involved in the project. I am extremely proud that the Day Skipper Online course has been acknowledged amongst the preeminent and most creative agencies in the eLearning industry and that the online version is now reaching into the homes of the boating community”.
The Day Skipper Online course, sponsored by Tristram Marine, is an interactive and fun way to learn; you can complete the Day Skipper course at anytime, anywhere, on your tablet, laptop or desktop. There are five modules which cover the crucial aspects of boating safety: the boat, navigation, rules and regulations, emergencies and buoys and beacons. The buoys and beacons module is a free section which CBE have made available to familiarize students with the functionality of the course before they proceed to the full paid version which costs $157 inclusive of GST, the assessment and any assistance by the ‘Online Coach’.
CBE Market Development Manager, Sue West, will be presenting at the conference in Sydney Australia. The trophy will be presented at the LearnX Impact Awards Presentation Ceremony on 9th September.
