Beginning Boating is an introductory short course designed for people who are new to boating and aren’t yet ready to take on the skipper’s role. This mobile friendly course covers the basics to help you become an informed crew member and to be more confident and relaxed on the water this summer.
What will I learn? You’ll learn the basics to help make your day on the water enjoyable including:
- Common nautical terms
- Trip planning
- Lifejacket selection
- Boating safety
- Basic boating rules
- Preparing for the unexpected
The course is easy to use and understand and is broken into separate sections, with an introductory video or audio clip for each. It includes short knowledge checks so that you can assess your learning as you progress.
